Founded in 1988, Valley Health Foundation (formerly Valley Medical Center Foundation) is an independent, community-driven 501c3 nonprofit organization. Valley Health Foundation (VHF) fundraises to support, innovate, and advocate better health for all in Santa Clara County. The mission of VHF is to be a leader in community health and healthcare.

Who does VHF support?

Valley Health Foundation fundraises to support Silicon Valley’s most vital public healthcare facilities - Santa Clara Valley Medical Center, O’Connor Hospital, St. Louise Regional Hospital, 14 affiliated primary and specialty care clinics, Behavioral Health, Custody Health, Public Health and numerous community health programs and services.

Funds raised by the Stars and Strides Event are used by Valley Health Foundation to:

  • Empower individuals and families to take control of their health and well-being by providing vital tools and resources.

  • Improve the health and health outcomes of underserved, at risk, and vulnerable members of our communities through the provision of essential services and resources.

  • Invest in essential equipment, supplies, training, and technology for healthcare staff to ensure optimal quality of care for every patient served.

  • Strengthen Valley Health Foundation's capacity to create meaningful change and sustain impactful initiatives that support, innovate, and advocate better health for all.
